GOP has researchers in Arkansas for opposition book on Hillary
The Republican National Committee (RNC) already has opposition researchers in Little Rock, Ark., and is writing a book on Hillary Clinton, according to Chairman Reince Priebus.
{mosads}When asked about preparing for a Clinton presidential run, Priebus told Mark Halperin of Bloomberg Politics, “We’re writing a Hillary Clinton book now. We’ve got a research team that is in Little Rock, I mean, so we’re not going to be shy about what we’re doing.”
Hillary and Bill Clinton lived in Little Rock the 1970s and 80s when he was attorney general and governor of the state.
“I think we’re sending two or three [researchers],” Priebus said.
Asked if they would be taking up full-time residency there, Priebus said, “I’m not sure of all that yet, Mark, but we’re going to be active. We’re going to get whatever we have to in order to share with the American people the truth about Hillary and Bill Clinton.”
Priebus has also made clear that the RNC will not be shying away from Bill Clinton’s personal life.
“I would say that the Monica Lewinsky stuff is a little stale and old, obviously,” Priebus told BuzzFeed earlier this week. “But if it turns out that there are things that are going on, and that we didn’t know about, he’s a public figure. He’s a former president. And they want to launch Hillary into the public eye. She deserves just as much scrutiny as anybody. And if Bill Clinton was up to things we find to be unscrupulous, I think that people ought to know about it.”
