New super-PAC gets $250,000 donation

The former chairman of an Ohio metalworks company has donated $250,000 to a new super-PAC, Liberty Equals Opportunity.

Leo Hawk used to chair American Trim, which supplies metal to transportation and appliance companies. He’s the only donor reported by the new group, which formed in June.

The super-PAC is based in Washington, but there’s currently no further information about its mission.
