The White House is welcoming trick-or-treaters this Halloween.
Local schoolchildren and kids from military families will take part, the White House said in a statement Friday.
The South Portico will be decorated as an enchanted forest, complete with “woodland creatures, vibrant colors, and acrobatic performers on flying trapeze and sway poles.”
{mosads}There will also be stations in the forest showcasing how different cultures celebrate Halloween.
Trick-or-treaters will receive an assortment of treats, including Hershey Kisses, cookies, M&Ms, fruit bars, kettle corn, and other candies. Among the goodies are baseball cards of the first family’s two pets: Bo and Sunny.
More than 4,200 people are expected to stop by the White House on the holiday.
