Hillary Clinton says everyone should love her — including corporate America.

Presidential debate moderator David Muir of ABC on Saturday mentioned a Fortune Magazine cover during the 2008 election carrying the headline “Business loves Hillary,” pointing out her support from many CEOs.

{mosads}Asked whether, eight years later, corporate America should still love her, Clinton replied, “Everybody should.”

She went on to say that she wants to be a “partner with the private sector” and she especially welcomes the support of small businesspeople who support her agenda.

The former secretary of State’s main rival for the nomination, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), was asked the same question, and provoked laughter and applause when he told the audience that corporate America would not love a President Sanders.

“CEOs of large multinationals may like Hillary,” Sanders said. “They ain’t gonna like me. And Wall Street is gonna like me even less.”

Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley joined Sanders in attacking Clinton’s deep ties to Wall Street, whom he noted had received millions of dollars worth of campaign contributions from the financial sector.

“In the last debate, very shamefully, [Clinton] tried to hide her cozy relationship with Wall Street big banks by invoking the attacks of 9/11,” O’Malley said.
