SC business leader to endorse Trump
A leading South Carolina businessman is set to endorse Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Wednesday, CNN reported.
{mosads}Bill Stern, a commercial real estate developer and chairman of the South Carolina Ports Authority, will also be the inaugural chairman of the Trump campaign’s Southeastern Business Coalition, which is launching Wednesday.
Stern is expected to meet with Trump on his jet ahead of the candidate’s rally at Clemson University. He will then release a statement confirming his endorsement.
The announcement comes 10 days before the South Carolina hosts the next Republican presidential primary on Feb. 20, where Trump will be looking to capitalize after his resounding win in New Hampshire on Tuesday.
South Carolina Lt. Gov. Henry McMaster endorsed Trump last month, his highest-profile endorsement at the time.
