Megyn Kelly laughs off Trump shout-out

Donald Trump gave shout-outs to Fox News personalities Megyn Kelly and Charles Krauthammer during his victory speech after Tuesday night’s election wins in Michigan and Mississippi.

“It was actually amazing, I was impressed. … Even Megyn Kelly said, ‘Boy, Donald Trump really did well tonight,’ ” the GOP presidential front-runner told an audience of supporters and journalists at a press conference in Florida.

“Thank you, Megyn,” he added, pointing his finger at the news cameras.

Fox News then cut to Kelly in the studio, laughing.

Kelly and Trump have been feuding since the Fox News host asked the billionaire about his profane comments about women during the first Fox Republican debate last year.

Trump demanded that Kelly sit out a recent debate and ended up withdrawing at the last minute after Fox issued a sarcastic press release taunting him for worrying about some tough coverage. He did participate in last week’s Fox News debate, moderated by Kelly.

Trump was in a magnanimous mood on Tuesday night.

“That was very unusual,” he said of Kelly’s apparent niceties. “I was shocked, actually, to hear that.

“And Charles Krauthammer … he was very, very nice,” Trump added, referring to the influential conservative commentator who has been issued scathing attacks against the businessman.

“Thank you, Charles,” Trump said. “It’s about time. I’ve been waiting, like, five years, Charles.”
