Clinton campaign launches three ads in Arizona

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton launched three ads Wednesday in Arizona focusing on Clinton’s positions on gun violence, immigration and education.

The three ads will begin airing Wednesday in the Phoenix, Tucson and Yuma markets. The Arizona primary will be held Tuesday.

{mosads}One of the ads, titled “Gabby,” features former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-Ariz.), who endorsed Clinton earlier this year.

“I’m fed up,” Giffords says at the start of the 30-second spot. “We have a gun violence problem.”

She said she’s voting for Clinton because she’s “tough.”

“She will stand up to the gun lobby. She will fight to make our families safer,” she said. “It matters.”

Giffords was shot in the head in 2011 in an attempted assassination when she was speaking in Tucson, Ariz.

The ad has been previously used by Clinton’s campaign.

Another ad released, titled “Brave” features an exchange between a young girl and the candidate. The ad previously aired in Nevada. In the ad, the girl told Clinton during a town hall last month that she was scared that her parents were going to be deported.

“My parents, they have a letter of deportation. I’m scared they are going to be deported,” the girl said in the ad, through tears.

“I’m going to do everything I can so you don’t have to be scared,” Clinton said in response, while embracing the girl.

“Let me do the worrying. I’ll do all the worrying. … I’ll do everything I can to help, okay?”

The last ad, titled “Better,” focuses on schools in Arizona and touts Clinton’s education plans.

It begins by noting that Arizona schools rank 45th in the nation.

“Dead last in funding per student,” it says.

“Hillary knows our kids deserve better,” the ad says. “Education means a good job, a decent living.”

The ad then says Clinton plans to make pre-school available for every child, invest in great teachers and make college possible without “crushing debt.”

“Together we can break down barriers for our kids so they get the education they deserve — no matter what zip code they live in,” Clinton says at the end of the ad.
