President Obama on Wednesday shared an awkward handshake with the Canadian prime minister and Mexican president when meeting in Canada.
Obama, Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met in Ottawa, Canada, this week to take part in the North American Leaders’ Summit.
{mosads}The three were taking part in their final “Three Amigos” summit and shared an awkward handshake when standing in front of the press Wednesday afternoon.
After waving at the crowd, Trudeau went in first for a handshake with Obama. But he continued to shake Obama’s hand when he reached toward Pena Nieto.
Obama let go of Trudeau’s hand before he and Pena Nieto shook hands at the end of the interaction.
