Eric Trump: Ivanka wouldn’t allow herself to be harassed

Eric Trump on Tuesday said his sister Ivanka Trump wouldn’t “allow herself” to be subjected to sexual harassment on the job.
 
Eric Trump offered the comments in explaining a remark by his father, Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee.
 
Donald Trump on Monday was quoted as saying Ivanka Trump would change jobs or careers if she were subjected to sexual harassment.
 
“I think what he’s saying is Ivanka is a strong, powerful woman. She wouldn’t allow herself to be objected to it,” Eric Trump said on “CBS This Morning.”
 
{mosads}”You should certainly take it up with human resources, and I think she definitely would as a strong person,” he continued. “At the same time, I don’t think she would allow herself to be subjected to that.
 
“There is no question that obviously it should be addressed and it should be addressed strongly,” Eric Trump said of claims of harassment, saying it’s an “absolutely no-go” in his father’s company.
 
Donald Trump drew flak with his remark to USA Today columnist Kirsten Powers about how he’d advise his daughter to respond to sexual harassment.
 
“I would like to think she would find another career or find another company if that was the case,” the Republican presidential nominee said.
 
He was asked the question about sexual harassment in the context of allegations brought against former Fox News executive Roger Ailes. 
 
Fox News star anchor Megyn Kelly later tweeted about Eric Trump’s remarks.
