Vice President-elect Mike Pence’s pets got a pampered intro to Washington, flying in style on Air Force Two before touching down in the nation’s capital Monday.
The Pence family’s two cats, Oreo and Pickle, arrived with the family from their native Indiana. Despite the high-flying accommodations, Pickle still managed to get sick on the plane, according to a press pool report.
Pence tweeted about the journey:

The kitty companions weren’t the only four-legged friends making their D.C. debut — Pence’s pet rabbit, Marlon Bundo, also jetted in with his owners.

{mosads}“Emotionally this is them coming to D.C.,” an aide said of the family’s move. Pence has been renting a house in Northwest Washington and will move into the Naval Observatory after inauguration.
Pence’s wife, Karen, arrived carrying one feline family member, while daughter Charlotte held the other.

The Pences also reportedly own a snake named Sapphira. No word on how — or if — it will slither into the vice president’s residence when the family moves in following next week’s inauguration.
