Trump attends prayer service at DC church

President-elect Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, headed to St. John’s Episcopal Church near the White House for a prayer service on Friday morning, hours before Trump’s inauguration.

{mosads}Outside of the service, a crowd gathered to catch a sight of the president-elect shortly before he will be sworn in, according to reports.

The family headed to the church from Blair House, the presidential guest house, on Friday morning, where they spent Trump’s final night as president-elect with family, arriving at the church around 8:40 a.m.

The service at St. John’s is an Inauguration Day tradition for incoming presidents, which started with Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1933.
