Dallas Stars troll Trump on inauguration attendance
The Dallas Stars on Saturday night appeared to mock President Donald Trump after he claimed the media lied about the crowd size at his inauguration.
The NHL team on Saturday night played the Washington Capitals at the American Airlines Center.
When announcing the attendance at the game, the Stars Jumbotron displayed a number far larger than the number of people the arena holds: 1.5 million.
The American Airlines Center holds about 20,000 people.
Quite the troll of Trump & @seanspicer by the @DallasStars tonight. Surprisingly edgy for a major sports team. https://t.co/ZoscKjdf4r pic.twitter.com/xdfxajITkT

{mosads}After Trump’s inauguration, multiple publications compared photos of Trump’s inauguration this year to President Obama’s in 2009. Reporters noted the size of the crowds at Trump’s ceremony appeared to be smaller than those at Obama’s.
On Saturday, the president accused the media of lying and said there was a “massive field of people” who attended his inauguration.
“I get up this morning and I turn on one of the networks and they show an empty field,” Trump said during remarks at the Central Intelligence Agency headquarters.
