Biden launches PAC: ‘We’re better than this’

Former Vice President Biden on Thursday officially launched his political action committee, American Possibilities.

Biden, who opted not to seek the Democratic White House nomination last year following the death of his son Beau has fueled speculation about a 2020 bid with the creation of the group.

“Our politics has become too small and petty. We’re better than this,” the former six-term senator said in a series of tweets that included an official link to the new PAC’s website.

Biden’s announcement comes a day after The New York Times reported he was planning to launch the political action committee.

{mosads}Greg Schultz, who worked for Biden and is a veteran of former President Obama’s presidential campaigns, has been tapped to help run the organization, according to the Times.

Biden has remained visible since last year’s election. He gave a series of commencement speeches over the past few weeks, calling for American purpose and unity.

Biden has been vocally critical of President Trump, urging him to “grow up” and “stop tweeting.”

The Senate veteran launched presidential bids in 1988 and 2008, but ultimately decided against running in 2016.

In May, he criticized Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton , saying he “never thought she was a great candidate.”

“I thought I was a great candidate,” he said.
