Social media mocks Ivanka Trump ‘Why I disagree with my dad’ magazine cover
Twitter users on Wednesday tore into Ivanka Trump after US Weekly released a magazine cover featuring the first daughter and headlined “Why I disagree with my dad.”
In the issue, an insider told the magazine that Ivanka was disappointed in President Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate deal, but took it in stride.
{mosads}“Sometimes she and Jared are a big influence on Donald and sometimes he takes other opinions into account and does something they disagree with,” the source said. “They win some and they lose some.”
Ivanka Trump has faced heavy criticism for not influencing her father to a greater degree on issues like climate change and transgender rights, where the Trump administration’s policies do not reflect the first daughter’s stated or reported views.
Social media users mocked the first daughter and the magazine cover, Photoshopping alternate versions of the cover and putting their own spin on the headline.
