Biden: ‘I’m not promising I wouldn’t’ run for president
Former Vice President Joe Biden (D) in a recent interview said he would not promise not to run for president.
“I have no intention of running for president but I’m a great respecter of fate,” Biden told NPR’s “Fresh Air.” “I don’t have any plans to do it, but I’m not promising I wouldn’t do it.”
{mosads}Biden, who launched bids in the 1988 and 2008 presidential races, chose not to run for president in the 2016 race despite calls from Democrats for him to enter the race.
“Unfortunately, I believe we’re out of time — the time necessary to mount a winning campaign for the nomination,” Biden said at the time, speaking at the White House Rose Garden.
Biden in 2016 said he would continue focusing on the “cancer moonshot” initiative once leaving office.
