New Obama ad portrays Romney as ‘outsourcing pioneer’
The Obama campaign released an advertisement Sunday highlighting GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney as an “outsourcing pioneer.”
{mosads}The ad builds off President Barack Obama’s own “outsourcing pioneer” comment about Romney. In making the claim on Friday, Obama referred to a story in the Washington Post that said Bain Capital had invested in several firms that focused on outsourcing U.S. jobs to other countries.
The new ad shows clips of Romney saying, “I know how jobs are created and how jobs are lost,” and “I know why jobs come and why they go.” The ad ends with a banner stating, “America doesn’t need an outsourcing pioneer in the Oval Office.”
The Romney campaign has criticized the article, calling it “fundamentally flawed.”
Romney advisor Ed Gillespie repeated these claims Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union, saying the story was “shoddy journalism” and insisting it as inaccurate that jobs were shipped overseas.
