RNC hires Hispanic initiative director

{mosads}The GOP struggled mightily with Hispanic voters in 2012 — Mitt Romney won just 27 percent of the Hispanic vote, down from the more than 40 percent Bush won in 2004. There has been a heavy emphasis at the committee on improving that mark going forward since the last election.

“We have been successful in the past, and I know we can be successful in the future. I intend to work arduously to reach new heights in growing the Republican Party, and building a Hispanic effort from the RNC that truly reflects the bonds that unite our party and Latinos across the country,” Korn said in a statement.
