RNC outraises DNC for May

The RNC brought in $7.3 million to the DNC’s $5.9 million, according to newly filed Federal Election Commission reports, giving the group a big cash edge nearly halfway through the election year.

The DNC has $6 million in the bank and is still carrying nearly $20 million in debt from the 2012 election, while the RNC now has $10.8 million cash on hand and no debt.
