Sanders campaign raises $1 million in one day during DNC fight: report

Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-Vt.) presidential campaign reportedly brought in more than $1 million on Friday, as the campaign warred with the Democratic National Committee (DNC) over voter data access.

The campaign brought in seven figures in just one day, The Washington Post reported, amid an acrimonious battle that featured his team filing a lawsuit against the DNC.

{mosads}Sanders’s campaign early Friday morning was blocked from accessing the DNC’s voter database after a security breach of private data belonging to Hillary Clinton’s campaign, caused by one of the DNC’s vendors.

Sanders’s team responded furiously, tearing into the DNC in a fiery press conference and filing a federal lawsuit accusing the committee of trying to “tip the scales” in favor of Clinton in the Democratic presidential primary.

The sides reached a deal overnight Friday night that allowed Sanders’s campaign access to the database again.
