Clinton wins New Mexico
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is projected to win the New Mexico primary.
She will take the majority of the state’s 34 pledged delegates, further adding to her substantial delegate lead over rival Bernie Sanders.
{mosads}The Associated Press reported Monday night that with her superdelegate support, Clinton has secured the 2,383 delegates needed to clinch the Democratic nomination.
The Democratic front-runner’s wins on Tuesday night build pressure on Sanders to drop out and help unite the party ahead of a general election battle against presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump.
Sanders has vowed to stay in the race until the Democratic National Convention in July.
