RNC breaks fundraising record with $105M haul in 2015

The Republican National Committee (RNC) says it raised $105.6 million in 2015 — a fundraising record for the party in a non-election year.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus announced the total in a tweet Wednesday morning, adding that the party has $18.7 million on hand.

{mosads}An RNC source told The Hill via email that the party raised $10 million in December, with an average donation of $96.

“The RNC has outraised the [Democratic National Committee] by roughly $70 million since Jan. 2013 despite not holding White House,” the source said.

The Hill has contacted the Democratic National Committee for comment.
