Huntsman threatens boycott of Univision Republican presidential debate

Rick Perry’s presidential campaigns, respectively, have also threatened to skip the debate because of the story, according to the Herald. 

“We ask the other Republican candidates to join us in this decision and will work with them to identify another forum to debate issues that are important to Americans of Hispanic descent in Florida and across our nation,” David continued in the letter. 

Rubio’s name has regularly come up as a highly likely choice for the vice presidential spot on the 2012 Republican presidential ticket. Rubio has said he won’t be on the ticket, but rumors that whoever wins the nomination will pick Florida’s junior senator have persisted.
