Trump: Walker has ‘a lot of problems in Wisconsin’

Republican presidential contender Donald Trump on Wednesday criticized Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s handling of his state’s finances in an interview with Bloomberg Politics.

“He has got a lot of problems in Wisconsin. You know, Wisconsin has got tremendous problems,” he said.

“The debt and the difficult problems that they have going on in Wisconsin that a lot of people don’t understand and know about. Tremendous borrowings. And they have difficulties,” he added.

{mosads}Trump, who launched his White House campaign Tuesday, compared himself favorably to many of his 2016 competitors.

On former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Trump said, “They’re saying Bush raised a lot of money, although less than they thought. I’ve raised more money than anybody by a factor of many, many times.”

Trump also criticized former Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s 2012 White House run.

“He had a rough time. And I think he is going to have a hard time getting over that,” Trump said. “And I’m not just talking about the ‘oops’ I’m talking about. I think he’s going to have a really tough time getting over that.”

Trump appraised his chances of winning the presidency in the interview.

“I would say anywhere from 10 to 20 percent. Ten to 20,” he said.

“One thing I can tell you, I will be trying.”

Trump expressed skepticism of global warming but did not come down hard on the issue.

“There could be a little bit of something having to do with factories and smoke and things,” he said. “But for the most part, I’m not a believer in that, yes.”
