Former New York Gov. George Pataki and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) say they disagree with real estate mogul Donald Trump’s call for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl to be executed for leaving his military post in Afghanistan.
{mosads}“You don’t have to speak about everything. It’s not required,” Graham said to Trump, the GOP presidential front-runner, during CNN’s undercard debate Tuesday night.
“You’re asking to be commander in chief. Up your game,” he added.
Graham said Bergdahl should have a fair trial.
Pataki echoed that call, noting that Bergdahl is innocent until proven guilty.
Trump was set to be onstage later, during the debate for top-tier candidates.
