McAuliffe maintains poll lead in Va.

Democrat Terry McAuliffe has a comfortable lead over Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R) in two new polls released the day before Virginia voters head to the polls.

{mosads}McAuliffe leads Cuccinelli by 46 percent to 40 percent in the latest poll from Quinnipiac University, and has a 50 percent to 43 percent lead in the latest poll from Democratic firm Public Policy Polling.

Those results are consistent with most other polling of the race showing McAuliffe has a lead in the mid- to high-single digits in the swing state. He’s led in nearly all polling of the race since mid-summer.

Both polls were concluded on Sunday. Quinnipiac surveyed 1,066 likely voters from Oct. 29 through Nov. 3 with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points, while PPP surveyed 870 likely voters on Nov. 2-3 and has a margin of error of 3.3 percentage points.
