New Hampshire Dem keeps governor’s seat
New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan (D) has won a second term.
Hassan is projected to keep her seat for another two-year term, defeating GOP challenger Walt Havenstein.
The Republican Governors Association had mounted a bid to oust Hassan this cycle.
The state’s position in the presidential primary calendar helped attract 2016 hopefuls like New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Vice President Biden.
