Meadows joins crowded GOP field vying for Shuler seat

{mosads}Meadows should be among the strongest challengers for the seat, having more money on hand than any of his Republican challengers, according to the Macon County News. 2010 GOP nominee Jeff Miller has also endorsed his campaign, and Meadows won a Republican straw poll in Transylvania County on Saturday.

“It is time for someone to stand up to fight for the people of Western North Carolina. I am committed to taking a business approach to help put people back to work,” Meadows said in the statement announcing his candidate filing.
