Ralph Hall cruises to renomination
Rep. Ralph Hall (R-Texas) has easily bested his primary foes and is all but guaranteed a 17th term in Congress.
Hall, who is at 89 the oldest House member, faced a potentially tough primary — he had a rematch with a candidate who’d held him below 60 percent in 2010, and the Campaign for Primary Accountability, an anti-incumbent super-PAC, spent hundreds of thousands of dollars against him.
But Hall fended off the challengers — with 45 percent of the vote counted he led with 59 percent of the vote in a three-way primary.
