Massachusetts Rep. Markey easily retains seat

Markey has been particularly vocal about climate change and advocating for green energy. He co-authored the sweeping climate change bill that narrowly passed the House in 2009 but didn’t advance in the Senate.

He has served the state’s 7th Congressional District, which includes suburbs north and west of Boston, since 1976.
