NRCC outraised by DCCC in October

The National Republican Congressional Committee brought in $4.6 million in October, once again falling short of their Democratic counterparts’ $7 million haul.

The fundraising month covered the government shutdown, which energized Democratic base activists and turned off some frustrated business Republican donors. But by the end of the month, the focus had begun to shift to ObamaCare’s major struggles.

The DCCC now has $25 million cash on hand to the NRCC’s $18.2 million.

November’s numbers will be instructive as to how ObamaCare’s problems will affect campaigns’ fundraising going forward.
