DCCC raises $5M in November

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised $5 million in November, its best showing in an off-year November ever and $1 million more than its Republican counterpart.

According to a DCCC aide, the committee had $27.6 million cash in the bank at the end of last month, and has raised $70.2 million overall this year.

The NRCC raised $4 million in November, which was also their best off-year November ever. It now has $19.6 million cash on hand, and has raised $56.5 million this year.

{mosads}Democrats were helped in fundraising in November by two fundraisers headlined by President Obama and one by Vice President Biden.

Still, the committee lagged because of its October fundraising total by about $2 million, after the party suffered significant political blows from the rocky rollout of ObamaCare.

Its fundraising so far puts it in stronger financial standing than it were at the same point last cycle, however. The DCCC has raised $14 million more than it had in November of 2011, and has $17 million more cash on hand.

That’s partly due to efforts made by the committee to conserve resources. It’s spent $2.7 million less than last cycle so far.

The NRCC, too, has stepped up its fundraising pace since the 2012 cycle, and has raised $5.1 million more this cycle.
