Upton challenger officially enters race
{mosads}”It is time we have true constitutional conservatives in Washington, ready to pare down the federal budget and give government back to the people.”
Hoogendyk held Upton to 57 percent of the vote in 2010 despite spending just $62,000 to Upton’s $2 million on the race. He is unlikely to struggle as much financially this time around: the fiscally conservative Club for Growth is already on the air slamming Upton as a “liberal,” and Club for Growth spokesman Barney Keller told The Hill in November that the group “came away impressed” after meeting with Hoogendyk and indicated they might endorse him.
