EMILY’s List backs Hochul, Slaughter for reelection

Hochul, who was elected in 2011 in a special election, saw her path to her first full term made more difficult by a new congressional map that drew more Republicans into her district.
Slaughter faces a challenge from Republican Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks. The 82-year-old congresswoman is recovering from breaking her leg earlier in April.
