Santorum endorses Zoller
Santorum also announced that the nonprofit he leads with the aim of defeating President Obama, Patriot Voices, will also support the Gainesville, Ga., native. In a statement on the nonprofit’s Facebook page, Santorum declared “Martha is an outspoken advocate for the principles of faith, family, freedom, and opportunity that we at Patriot Voices strive to advance. Martha shares our commitment to the value of each and every life, that economic success is found in free markets, and that our government must be limited and accountable to the people.”
Zoller’s primary opponent, state Rep. Doug Collins, has collected endorsements from former Georgia Gov. and Sen. Zell Miller, as well as Georgia House Speaker David Ralston.
{mosads}Santorum has kept busy with endorsements since dropping out of the GOP presidential primary on April 10. On Aug. 1, Santorum endorsed Pete Hoekstra (R), a former Pennsylvania senator, in his GOP senatorial primary in Michigan. Santorum also endorsed Mark Meadows (R) in his pursuit of North Carolina’s 11th District seat, and businessman Wil Cardon in his hard-fought primary for the GOP Senate nomination in Arizona against Rep. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.).
