NRCC hires battleground director

{mosads}Dunn is a GOP campaign veteran, having served as the NRCC’s deputy incumbent retention director in 2008, a year that saw Democrats expand their majority in the House.

Prior to his stint in Scott’s office, Dunn worked as the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s political director last cycle.

He also has ties to Tea Party politicians, having worked in senior staff positions for both Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) and former Rep. Chris Chocola (R-Ind.).

NRCC Executive Director Liesl Hickey called Dunn “an invaluable resource.”

“Rich’s extensive political experience and sharp political instincts make him a strong and welcome addition to our team,” she said. “Rich will be an invaluable resource to our Members, candidates and team as we continue to stay on offense in order to strengthen our House majority in 2014.”
