Poll: Romney holding slim 1-point lead in Colorado

{mosads}Obama, though, enjoys lead among independent voters at 50 percent to 42.

The close findings in the ARG poll mirror those of other surveys, which show a similarly tight race. A Purple Strategies poll found Obama up 1 at 47-46. An NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll last week showed the two candidates knotted at 48 percent each. A poll from Democratic Public Policy Polling (PPP), however, showed the president with a strong 4-point lead at 51-47.

Colorado is one of 12 battlegrounds won by Obama in 2008 that will likely determine the outcome of this year’s race.

Former President Bill Clinton will visit the state on Tuesday, attending rallies in Commerce City and Denver. Romney campaigned in the state last week, joined by his running mate Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).

The ARG poll was conducted from Oct. 25 to 28.
