Rep. Duckworth is ‘Ready for Hillary’

Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) is “Ready for Hillary,” making her the second House lawmaker to back the group working to draft Hillary Clinton to run for president.

Duckworth sent out a Veterans Day email on behalf of the organization on Monday, a sign of her support.

{mosads}”Today I join all Americans in honoring the brave men and women who have worn the uniform in service to our nation. These men and women have given so much for all of us. We owe them our freedom, our respect, and our gratitude demonstrated in our words and deeds,” she says in the email.

Duckworth, a double amputee Iraq war veteran, joins Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) in publicly supporting the group’s efforts. Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D) and former Rep. Ellen Tauscher (D-Calif.) have all been working with the organization, and all of the female Democratic senators have reportedly sent Clinton a letter encouraging her to run.

Clinton is seen as the clear front-runner for 2016, should she choose to run, and has been keeping up a busy political schedule in recent weeks and months.
