Huckabee launching news website
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) is launching a news website in 2014, a sign that Huckabee may not jump headfirst into another presidential bid.
Titled the “Huckabee Post,” it will focus on general news and have offices in New York City and Washington, D.C., according to ABC.
{mosads}Huckabee recently said he’s “keeping the door open” on a potential 2016 campaign, and polls show he still has some support in early primary states. The 2008 candidate spent much time flirting with a presidential bid before the 2012 election before deciding to stick with his radio and TV shows and their lucrative contracts.
With his nationally syndicated radio show’s contract about to expire, it appears that he could be doubling down on expanding his media presence rather than gearing up for another bid for the White House.
