Bloomberg reported on Tuesday that Obama’s golf game at an exclusive course in Hawaii forced two Army captains, who planned to get married on the 16th hole, to delay or relocate their nuptials.
{mosads}“It was emotional, especially for her — she’s the bride and in less than 24 hours they had to change everything they had planned,” Jamie McCarthy, the bride’s sister, told Bloomberg.
Instead of continuing with the wedding at the same spot the following day, the couple instead moved the wedding to the lawn near the home of the base’s commanding officer.
Obama reportedly called the bride after Bloomberg requested a comment from the White House.
“He apologized and congratulated them,” McCarthy said.
