Chelsea Clinton waiting to see if mother runs

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s daughter Chelsea said in an interview published Wednesday that she doesn’t know whether her mother is going to run for president in 2016.

“No, I’m waiting too,” she told People magazine. “It’s really sweet how my mom is just so clearly happy being a grandma and I know she’s going to be a great grandma, whatever other choices she makes in her life.”

Former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton have both expressed great joy at becoming grandparents. In December, Hillary Clinton said she had a “grandmother glow” while giving a speech.

While the former first lady has yet to declare a run for president, a campaign apparatus is reportedly being built that would allow her to quickly switch into gear should she decide to run. Clinton would likely be the front-runner in the race, should she decide to launch a bid.
