Jeb Bush heading to CPAC

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) will speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference, the annual gathering of conservative activists in Washington, D.C.

{mosads}Bush will address the conference in late February, giving him a chance to talk to some of the movement conservatives that have been resistant to his candidacy.

“CPAC is always a fun gathering and a great exchange of ideas among conservatives,” Bush said in a statement to National Review. “I’m looking forward to joining conservatives from across the country later this month as we work together to expand opportunity and restore the right to rise in America.”

The former governor didn’t address CPAC last year, though he gave a speech on education there in 2013 to mixed reviews. He’s struggled in polls with hardline conservatives, and the event is often packed with Tea Party and libertarian-leaning Republicans, making it interesting to see how he’ll be received.
