Graham: Clinton ’empowered’ Obama’s foreign policy

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a likely 2016 presidential candidate, attempted to tie Hillary Clinton to President Obama’s foreign policy ahead of her expected campaign launch.

{mosads}”I would argue that she empowered a failed foreign policy more than she stood up to it,” Graham said during a special broadcast of CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday afternoon, adding, “when she stood up to it, she was ineffective.”

Graham cited Clinton’s response as secretary of State to the deadly 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya, as well as her push to reset relations with Russia.

“She owns his foreign policy, she owns his domestic policy,” Graham said. “The reason there’s 20 Republicans running is that all of us think we can beat her.”

Graham, who has traveled recently to several early voting states, said he would know whether he would launch a campaign of his own by May.

“I’m more likely to run than not,” Graham said, saying that if the 2016 presidential election turns out as expected to be a debate on foreign policy, “I like my chances.”

Still, Graham told CNN he would vote for the eventual Republican nominee, including Sens. Rand Paul (Ky.), Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas).
