Clinton headed to New Hampshire

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (D) will make her first campaign swing through New Hampshire next week, a campaign aide confirmed Thursday.

{mosads}She will participate in roundtable meetings similar to the ones she has been conducting in Iowa, which campaign staff hope will allow her to forge closer connections with voters than in her last run for the presidency. She will also meet with activists and politicians while in the crucial early primary state.

She will visit the Granite State on Monday and Tuesday.

Clinton announced her campaign for the White House on Sunday and then embarked on a trip through Iowa. Campaign officials have indicated a formal kickoff will not come until next month.

New Hampshire was the state that gave new life to Clinton’s 2008 presidential bid. After then-Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) beat her in Iowa, pundits said her shot at the White House might be gone. But her comeback in New Hampshire kept her in the race through the end of the primary season.
