Paul asks for Clinton Foundation dirt
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) is hoping his supporters will help him gather dirt on potential 2016 opponent Hillary Clinton.
Using Twitter, Paul is directing followers to his presidential campaign website, where they can fill out their name, email, zip code, and any information they might have on foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation.
{mosads}“Do you have additional information about the Clinton Foundation accepting foreign contributions?” Paul asks on his website.

The New York Times reported Sunday that a forthcoming book raises questions about foreign donations to the organization. The book, according to a Times review, suggests that foreign entities that donated to the foundation, or paid fees for former President Bill Clinton’s speeches, were given favors by the State Department during Clinton’s time as secretary.
Paul, who has tweeted once a day since Friday asking for information, slammed Clinton last week, saying that she hadn’t faced questions about the money her foundation has accepted from foreign nations.
Paul’s tweets are his latest criticism of Clinton as they gear up for the 2016 presidential election. He’s suggested voters should back “liberty, not Hillary.”
The Times also reports that members of the Foreign Relations Committee have been briefed on the book, but Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) denied that claim on Monday.
“As the longest serving member of the Committee, I was never briefed on the book,” she said in a statement. “I know of no other Democrats on the Committee who were briefed on it. So if there was a briefing, it was clearly partisan in nature.”
She added that, “this is just another vicious, partisan and unfounded attack on Hillary Clinton.”
The Clinton Foundation, which has faced criticism for accepting foreign donations while Clinton was secretary of State, announced last week that it would limit foreign donations and only accept them from six countries: Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and the United Kingdom.
Clinton announced earlier this month that she will seek the Democratic party’s 2016 presidential nomination. If Paul gets the Republican Party’s nomination he would likely face Clinton, widely considered the frontrunner.
