Hillary Clinton to take the stage at Koch theater
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Thursday will address an audience from a stage named after the conservative donor David Koch, who has become a target of liberal attacks.
Clinton will speak at New York’s David H. Koch Theater on Thursday evening, The Weekly Standard reported, during an appearance at the sixth annual Women in the World Summit. The three-day event launched Wednesday and concludes Friday.
{mosads}Democrats have in recent years assailed David Koch and his brother Charles for bankrolling conservative candidates and causes across the country. Their attacks on the Koch brothers were a major part of their midterm election message in 2014.
The Kochs are reportedly preparing to raise and spend hundreds of millions of dollars for the 2016 election cycle, and on Tuesday hinted they might get involved in the GOP’s 2016 presidential primary process.
The brothers argue that Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) and Sens. Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas) all have a “good chance of getting elected” president.
Only Cruz, Paul and Rubio have announced official White House bids. Clinton, meanwhile, remains the Democratic Party’s heavy favorite for the nomination in 2016.
