Poll: Clinton trails Bush, Paul and Rubio in NH
Hillary Clinton trails three of her Republican challengers — former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) and Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) — in a new WMUR Granite State Poll from the University of New Hampshire.
Bush, who’s yet to officially enter the race, has staged an 18-point turnaround since February. He now leads Clinton by a margin of 47 percent to 41 percent; Clinton led in February by a margin of 51 percent to 39 percent.
{mosads}Paul also turned around his fortunes from February, when he trailed by 10 percentage points, and now leads Clinton 47 percent to 43 percent.
Rubio leads Clinton by 5 percentage points, 47 percent to 42 percent, while Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker ties her, with 44 percent each.
Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) is the only candidate tested in the poll who loses to Clinton, but she only leads by 1 percentage point, 46 percent to 45 percent.
A poll from Dartmouth University released Wednesday found that only Bush and Walker led Clinton in head-to-head match-ups.
The findings come just days after the same poll saw Clinton’s hold over the Democratic field drop 7 percentage points since February, to 51 percent. She still holds a massive lead over the rest of the field; Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) polls in second place with 20 percent despite her repeated statements that she wouldn’t run.
The GOP field is much less clear. Bush, Rubio, Walker and Paul are all within 5 percentage points of each other in the latest poll released late Wednesday, finishing in that order.
