Pro-Walker super-PAC plans $7M ad buy in Iowa

A super-PAC supporting Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s 2016 GOP presidential campaign reportedly plans to spend $7 million on ads in Iowa.

{mosads}Unintimidated PAC plans on finalizing its purchase of radio and television ad space on Wednesday, according to CNN.

“Governor Scott Walker is the only candidate who has fought for big, bold reforms to our biggest challenges and actually won those fights,” said Brad Dayspring, a senior adviser for the organization.

“This is the first phase of telling his story: a conservative governor from a blue state who has challenged the status quo, fought the entrenched special interests and enacted conservative reforms to reform government from the bottom up,” Dayspring told CNN.

“[It is] to voters in early states who are looking for a fighter who does more than make promises,” he added.

CNN reported on Wednesday that Unintimidated PAC is also plotting seven-figure ad purchases in New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina.

The group’s Iowa spots are scheduled to begin airing in September and run through early February, the news outlet added.

Unintimidated PAC announced late last month it raised more than $20 million in support of Walker from almost 300 donors.

Our American Revival, another group backing Walker, revealed it had raised $6.2 million of its own in July.

Walker currently ranks third in the packed Republican 2016 field with 10.6 percent, according a to a RealClearPolitics average of national polls released Sunday.
