Carville: Biden hasn’t had the best track record running for president
Democratic strategist James Carville in an interview broadcast Sunday blasted a potential 2016 White House run by Vice President Biden.
{mosads}”He’s done it twice, and he hasn’t had the best track record doing it,” the longtime Clinton adviser told host John Catsimatidis on “The Cats Roundtable” on AM 970 in New York.
Biden met with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) on Saturday in Washington, D.C., CNN reported, amid buzz he is seriously weighing a 2016 Oval Office bid.
It has been seen as the biggest indicator yet that Biden is seriously tempted by a presidential run next year.
“I don’t hold to any illusions that this is going to be some kind of an easy straight shot open thing,” Carville said on Sunday of Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Carville also dismissed the controversy surrounding Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of State, saying, “The press goes from one thing to another, and it never amounts to anything … At the end of the day, they’ll find out there wasn’t anything to this.”
Carville also blasted The Washington Post for its coverage of Clinton, saying it “needs some adult supervision … It’s journalism run amuck.”
Carville also said he “can’t get enough” of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.
“He’s a pretty damn good salesman.”
