GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he doesn’t have a “crush” on Megyn Kelly, following a flare-up in the billionaire’s ongoing feud with the Fox News anchor.
{mosads}“Trust me, there is no crush — that I can tell you,” Trump responded when questioned by host Matt Lauer on NBC’s “Today.”
“I personally am not a fan,” he insisted. “I don’t think she does a good job. I don’t think she’s a very good professional.
“I think frankly the show’s better without her, but that’s up to them and they can do whatever they want,” Trump added of “The Kelly File” on Fox News.
Trump reignited his public feud with Kelly on Monday night by sharing several tweets criticizing the Fox News host.
He argued on Wednesday that he is less concerned with the television personality than the media seemingly believes.
“I haven’t,” Trump told Lauer when asked if he had let Kelly aggravate him. “You tweet a few tweets, or retweets in this case, that’s not getting under your skin.”
Kelly first earned Trump’s ire by sharply questioning him over his past remarks toward women during the GOP presidential debate earlier this month.
Phrases like “fat pig” or “slob,” she said, are demeaning to women.
Trump has since argued that Kelly’s questioning of him was unfair and that it undermines her credibility as a journalist.
He drew criticism earlier this month by remarking that Kelly “had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever” after the debate.
