Jeb hits ‘germophobe’ Trump in new assault
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is attacking fellow GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s fear of germs.
{mosads}Bush is launching an ad campaign on social media that includes a quiz raising concerns over his bitter rival’s phobia.
The quiz reportedly asks users if they prefer a candidate who “is a germophobe when it comes to shaking hands.”
The alternative, it adds, is a 2016 contender who “strives to shake every hand everywhere.”
Trump is a noted germophobe who avoids shaking hands on the 2016 campaign trail amid concerns over personal hygiene.
Bush’s jab is not the only attack in his new social media quiz, TIME added.
It also presents a series of potential policy stances meant to highlight the former Florida governor’s conservative bona fides over Trump’s.
Too many Trump answers, TIME reported, and the quiz tells users they have “clear Democratic tendencies.”
“You’re looking for the candidate who proposed record tax hikes, supported single-payer healthcare and supported an assault weapons ban,” it added. “You’ve found your man in Donald Trump.”
Selecting more Bush responses, meanwhile, reportedly brings the exact opposite result.
Bush’s latest attack comes as he struggles to catch Trump’s lead in the race for the GOP presidential nomination next year. Trump is currently the front-runner for their party’s coronation across multiple national polls.
